Hi Church Family,
Things are changing by the day with COVID-19 Pandemic, so we are being flexible and doing our best to keep you informed. We will not be meeting on the church campus for Sunday morning worship or Wednesday’s for prayer until further notice. I am encouraging everyone to gather in homes with other believers to worship the Lord and experience His presence during this time.
Matthew 18:20 NKJV                                                                                                                                  For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.
It is important to remember the Church is not closed…just our buildings.
Many of you have expressed your desire to help which reminds us how blessed we are to belong to such a loving Church. We will keep you updated as we continue to pursue safe ways to serve our community.
Here are some practical ways that you can help right now.
Pray: We are not to worry but take everything to the Lord in prayer. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you to pray for what’s needed and thank God for what He’s done and praise Him for who He is.
Philippians 4:6-7 NLT                                                                                                                                                  6 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything.                                                                                   Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done. 7 Then you will experience God’s peace,                                   which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
Precaution: We can limit the spread of the virus by taking precaution, using common sense and good judgment. Let’s practice the simple things like washing our hands regularly, social distancing and taking every precaution necessary, especially with those at high risk (the elderly and those with low immune systems). We all can make a difference by being an example and doing what the Bible says in…
Proverbs 3:21-22 CEV                                                                                                                                                     21 My child, use common sense and sound judgment!                                                                                                         Always keep them in mind. 22 They will help you to live a long and beautiful life.
Proclaim: We will continue to proclaim the Good News of Jesus to everyone, even in these unusual times of “social distancing”.    The methods may change, but the message remains the same. Help us continue to fulfill the mission of the Church by sharing the Sunday morning message, Scriptures, words of encouragement, and telling someone about Jesus through the many different modern methods of communication. Let’s all aspire to be contagious Christians and spread the Good News of Jesus.
Mark 16:15 NCV                                                                                                                               Jesus said to his followers, “Go everywhere in the world, and tell the Good News to everyone.
Place your trust in the Lord: We will continue to trust the LORD and His promises of peace and protection for us.
Isaiah 26:3-4 NLT                                                                                                                               3 You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in You, all whose thoughts are fixed on You!                                                                                       4 Trust in the Lord always, for the Lord God is the eternal Rock.
Psalm 91:9-10 NKJV                                                                                                                       9 Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place,                                                                              10 No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling.
I am certain that as we stay together, pray together, trust in the Lord Jesus together, we will spread the hope of the Good News of Jesus Christ to others and come through this stronger and better than ever!
Living in the hope of Jesus Christ,
Pastor Tom C. Wirtz
